Important things to consider when choosing corporate t shirts

by Dave

Like all business owners, you want your marketing material to be as successful as it can be, to ensure maximum profits for your company. Corporate t shirts are a great choice here, but it’s important to choose a design and style that works in your favour – rather than against it. If you’re thinking about incorporating corporate t shirts into your uniform, then there are a number of things you need to keep in mind whilst designing them.

  1. Keep wearability in mind
Whilst it’s tempting to choose the cheapest option on the market, it needs to be comfortable to ensure your staff are happy to wear them. Cheap fabric can be itchy, stiff or rough, and can even cause skin irritations if anyone on your team has sensitive skin. While you may save money to begin with, you’ll likely end up throwing them away and purchasing new ones with a high quality of fabric. Save yourself time instead and choose clothing that will be wearable and comfortable in the long run.
  2. Look to fashion for inspiration
Even though you may be investing in , and not street or gym wear, it’s important to look toward what others are wearing. By choosing styles that consumers are already buying, you’ll ensure your employees feel confident, and your clients won’t see your business as ‘out of touch’. Our personal favourite is the timeless crew neck – it’s flattering on men and women and has always been in fashion!
  3. Complement your brand
When designing your, choose a colour scheme that complements your marketing material. If you have a bold logo, filled with bright colours, consider using a neutral fabric to ensure your logo pops. Even if you have a muted logo, it’s always a good idea to choose a colour for the t shirt that isn’t too flashy. After all, these tops will be worn in a corporate setting, and you want your employees to look professional.
  4. Choose the right fit
Just like the cut of the sleeves and neck is important, you’ll need to choose a fit that complements your entire team! In the past, men have worn baggy clothes, whilst women have preferred a more fitted cut. Now, however, our preferences have swapped! We recommend choosing a relaxed fit to ensure all of your employees can wear the same style.
  5. Speak with the Experts
When designing clothes that you want your team to wear on a daily basis, we recommend speaking with our experienced team. Methods for printing and embroidering change and develop, so even if you’ve created before, the technique and requirement may have changed. Our team will always be up-to-date on the latest designs, trends, and techniques, so it’s well worth getting their opinions before you place an order.

Corporate t shirts are a great way to bring some fun into your workplace, whilst still maintaining a sense of professionalism. When done right, your staff will look great, and they will be giving you exposure wherever they go. When done wrong, the tops may simply end up in the bin! Follow these tips to ensure the success of your new t shirts!
